Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia

The Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia is a governmental body that was established on May 8, 2019, as a result of reorganization. On June 1, 2019, the Ministry’s Charter was approved, defining its current name and outlining its main areas of activity.

The Ministry develops and implements the policy of the Government of the Republic of Armenia in several strategic sectors, including high technologies, information technologies, information security, digitalization, postal services, communications, as well as international cooperation, licensing, space, and the defense industry.

The main goal of the Ministry is to promote the country’s technological development, foster innovation, and enhance competitiveness. Its objectives, functions, as well as its structure—including main and supporting divisions—are defined by the Charter, which also regulates its governance and management system.
