SHANT TV
The Shant TV was established in 1994 in Gyumri. Initially operating as a regional television station, it rapidly expanded its reach and became a nationwide broadcaster. In 2001, the company relocated its headquarters to Yerevan, marking a significant step in its growth and national positioning.
Over the years, Shant TV has become one of Armenia’s most influential private television companies. It is particularly known for its diverse, multi-genre
programming, which includes popular TV series, talk shows, entertainment programs, music projects, and large-scale television productions. The channel has played a major role in shaping Armenia’s modern entertainment industry. Among its most successful and widely recognised series are “Banakum” (In the Army), “Qaxaqum” (In the City), and “Gaghtni Ser” (Secret Love), which gained significant popularity both in Armenia and among the Armenian Diaspora. These productions helped establish Shant TV as a leader in locally produced scripted content.
In addition to television series, Shant TV produces reality shows, comedy programs, talent competitions, and cultural broadcasts, attracting a broad and diverse audience. The company has invested heavily in modern studio technologies, high-quality production standards, and digital distribution.
Today, Shant TV broadcasts via terrestrial networks, cable operators, satellite, and online streaming platforms. It also maintains a strong digital presence across social media and video-sharing platforms, ensuring accessibility for viewers worldwide.
Shant TV continues to expand its brand through affiliated media projects and remains one of Armenia’s leading private broadcasters in terms of ratings, production volume, and audience engagement.
